Troubleshooting
WARNING
Read the REPAIR chapter and make
sure that the power is disconnected
before doing any repairs.
ISSUE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Laydown of Flatwork is Erratic
1. Mechanical problem with
spread clamp or its air
cylinder.
Check/adjust. Refer to the REPAIR
chapter, Spread Section section,
Spreader Clamp Mechanical Ad-
justment procedure.

2. Air bars out of alignment. Adjust. Refer to the REPAIR chap-
ter, Compressed Air System sec-
tion,
Air Bar Alignment
procedure.

3. Adjust length of the air bars
blast.

tion, CHI Adjustments procedure.

4. CORNER STOP DELAY
settings need adjustment.

5. Early air blast occurs as the
corners are detected by the
taut sensors.

1. GAP settings need adjust-
ment.

2. Tail sensors may be dirty,
misaligned, or defective.
Clean/adjust/replace as necessary.

1. The corners are too long. Check sensor alignment in front of
clutch rolls. Refer to the REPAIR
chapter, Sensors section, Roll Pho-
