Fuel Door Release
The remote fuel filler door release
allows you to open the fuel filler
door from inside the vehicle.
Pull up the release lever located
near the front corner of the driver’s
seat.
Note:
If the fuel filler door does not
open in cold weather, tap the
door lightly. Then try to open it
again.
Filling the Tank
Turn off the engine before refuel-
ing.
The cap is behind a hinged door
on the side of your vehicle.
• Remove the fuel filler cap by
turning it slowly counterclock-
wise.
If you hear a "hiss" when open-
ing the cap, wait for that to
stop.
Then continue to slowly turn
the cap and remove it.
• When you put the cap back on,
continue to turn it clockwise
until you hear a clicking noise.
• Close the fuel door.
When closing the fuel door,
make sure that it latches.
CAUTION
Static electricity can ignite
gasoline vapor. You can be
burned and your vehicle
damaged. Only use pumps,
hoses and containers that are
properly grounded when filling
up with fuel.

CAUTION
Fuel vapor is highly flammable.
Keep sparks, flames and smok-
ing materials away from fuel.
If you get gasoline on you and
then something ignites it, you
could be badly burned.
To avoid injuries to you and
others, read and follow all
instructions on the gas station
pump.
Turn off your engine before
refueling.
CAUTION
If you open the cap rapidly
while pressure inside the tank is
high, gasoline may spray out
from the tank. Before you fully
open the cap, turn it slightly to
release the pressure from inside
the tank.
NOTICE
If you have to get a new cap, be
sure to get the right one. Other-
wise, the cap may not vent
properly, leading to serious fuel
system and other damage. Your
dealer knows the correct cap for
your vehicle.
CAUTION
• Never fill a portable fuel con-
tainer while it is in your vehi-
cle.
• Dispense gasoline only into
approved containers.
• Do not leave the fuel pump
unattended while refueling.
• Keep children away from the
fuel pump.
• Bring the fill nozzle in contact
with the inside of the fill
opening before operating the
nozzle.
• Do not smoke while pumping
gasoline.
