Auto Reverse
When one side of the tape is done
playing, the auto reverse feature
automatically plays the other side
of the tape.
Tape Eject Button
Press
(located next to the
cassette tape slot) to eject the
tape.
The audio system will switch to
radio mode.
Anti-Theft Feature
(If equipped)
An identification card stamped
with the
AF
(area frequency) code
and the security code number is
provided with the vehicle. Keep it
in a safe place, not in the vehicle.
The audio security system acti-
vates immediately whenever the
audio is disconnected from the
battery. It is protected by a securi-
ty code.
You must unlock the radio with the
security code before you can oper-
ate it.
The security light will flash when
the ignition key is removed, and
will disappear when the ignition
switch is turned to the accessory
position.

To enter the security code:
1. Turn the ignition to the on or
accessory position.
2. Turn the audio system on.
AF
or
CODE
will flash on the
display. If
AF
is displayed, go
to step 3. If
CODE
is displayed,
go to step 5.
3. Enter the
AF
(area frequency)
code into the unit using the
preset buttons.
4.
CODE
will flash on the display.
5. Enter your security code into
the unit using the preset
buttons.
When the complete four-digit
security code is entered, the
complete security code will
flash three times. The audio
system will be fully functional
and the radio will begin to op-
erate.
If you fail to enter the security code
correctly,
ERR
will be displayed for
a few seconds.
CODE
will then be
displayed again. Repeat the previ-
ous procedure to enter the security
code again.
If you fail to enter the correct
AF
code, an incorrect frequency level
may be chosen and radio recep-
tion may be affected. If this occurs,
reset the audio system by remov-
ing and then reinserting the
AUDIO
fuse from the interior fuse
block. Then repeat the "To enter
the security code" procedure.
Note:
When you remove the
AUDIO
fuse, keep it out for at least five
minutes before reinstalling it.
