Treble Control
The treble control,
TRE
, increases
or decreases the treble tone.
To adjust the treble, do the
following:
1. Press the
SND
button
repeatedly to select this dis-
play.
2. Press the up or down arrow on
the
VOL
control
repeatedly
to adjust the tone as desired.
The treble level will appear on
the display.
0
indicates the original sound
level.
The highest treble level is
+5
and lowest is
-5
.
After making adjustments, the
display will return to the full audio
system display in five seconds.
Balance Control
Choosing
BAL
allows you to adjust
the sound between the right and
left speakers.
To adjust the speaker balance, do
the following:
1. Press the
SND
button
repeatedly to select this dis-
play.
2. Press the up or down arrow on
the
VOL
control
repeatedly
to adjust the speakers as
desired.
The balance level will appear
on the display.
The right speaker level is dis-
played as
R1
to
R15
.
The left speaker level is dis-
played as
L1
to
L15
.
The middle
0
position balances
the sound between the
speakers.
After making adjustments, the
display will return to the full audio
system display in five seconds.

Fader Control
Choosing
FAD
allows you to adjust
the sound between the front and
rear speakers.
To adjust the speaker fade, do the
following:
1. Press the
SND
button
repeatedly to select this dis-
play.
2. Press the up or down arrow on
the
VOL
control
repeatedly
to adjust the speakers as
desired.
The fade level will appear on
the display.
The front speaker level is
displayed as
F1
to
F15
.
The rear speaker level is
displayed as
R1
to
R15
.
The middle

position balances
the sound between the
speakers.

Radio Controls
Source Selection
If a cassette is already loaded when
the radio is turned on, the tape will
begin to play.
To stop playing the cassette and
switch to the radio, eject the
cassette.
Band Selection
Press
BND
repeatedly to switch
between the following radio
bands:
• FM1
• FM2
• AM (MW)
• LW
