Root Directory
The root directory will be treated
as a folder. If the root directory
contains compressed audio files,
the directory will be displayed as
ROOT
.
All files contained directly under
the root directory will be accessed
prior to any root directory folders.
Empty Directory or Folder
If a root directory or a folder is
empty or contains only folders, the
player will automatically advance
to the next folder in the file struc-
ture that contains a compressed
audio file. The empty folder(s) will
not be displayed or numbered.
No Folder
When the CD only contains
compressed audio files without
any folders or playlists, all files will
be located under the root folder.
ROOT
(root) will appear on the
display as the name of the folder
and the next and previous folder
functions will not work.
Order of Play
The tracks will be played in the
following order:
• The first track under the root
directory will play first.
• When all the tracks from the
root directory have been
played, the remaining tracks
will play in the order of their
numerical listing.
• When the last track of the last
folder has been played, play
will continue with the first track
in the first folder or root direc-
tory.
File System and Naming
The displayed song title is taken
from the file's ID3 tag. If a song
title is not present in the ID3 tag,
the radio will display the file name
as the track name.
Track names longer than 32 char-
acters or 4 pages will be short-
ened.
The display will not show parts of
words on the last page of text.
Also, the display will not show the
filename extension.
