in the call window according to the transmitter requirements. The specific receiver
demodulation settings can be changed in the right menu of the call window, such as the IF
bandwidth, audio filter, etc. The setting method is the same as that of the demodulation meter.

Setting of audio box: the volume can be properly adjusted between 0% and 100% according
to the sound strength of the audio box.
Section 5 Operation Guidance for Audio Function
This part describes some operations of 4992A Radio Test Set for audio signal generation and
measurement.
1. Setting of audio source and noise source
4992A is equipped with double audio sources: Audio Source 1 and 2. The audio sources
can be separately selected for signal output or combined for output. In addition, this instrument
is also provided with one noise source, which can be applied separately or combined with one
audio source for output.

Window opening: open and select the audio source window by pressing the [Audio] hard key
or pressing the [Measurement] hard key and setting the instrument menu, and maximize this
window by pressing the [Full Screen] hard key in the lower part of the screen, as shown
below.

Menu calling: click the touch screen, select the audio source window, and the corresponding
menu will pop up in the right side.

Setting of output source: set one audio source, double audio sources or noise+audio source by
clicking the button in front of the Audio Source 1, Audio Source 2 and noise source in the
window. You can also click [Audio Source 1], [Audio Source 2] or [Noise Source] in the
right menu to select the output source.
For example, click [Audio Source 1] in the right menu, open [Audio Source 1], and the window
shown in Fig. 4-26 will pop up, in which Audio Source 1 is selected for the output.
