are normal, instrument failure may occur. In this case, contact us for repair.

If LAN communication of 4992A fails, check the IP address setting of PC and the yellow
LED beside the LAN interface of the top panel. If this light does not flicker, check the LAN
cable and connection.
Section 2 Rework Method
If any problem of 4992A cannot be solved easily, contact us by phone or fax. If the
instrument has to be returned for repair, pack it according to the following steps.
1) Prepare one copy of paper file describing the instrument failure, and place it into the
packing box together with the tester.
2) Pack the instrument with the original package to reduce possible damage.
3) Set pads in the four corners of the outer packing box, and place the instrument into the
outer packing box.
4) Seal the opening of the packing box with a tape and strengthen the packing box with nylon
straps;
5) Mark “Fragile!”, “No collision!”, “Handle with care!”, etc. on the box.
6) Ship this instrument as a precision instrument, and keep a copy of all the shipping
documents.
