12”CHIPPER SERVICE
FEED WHEEL MOTOR
92
Return the feed wheel motor assembly to the
machine and tighten the bolts in the bushing.
Tighten each bolt a little at a time to pull the
coupling into place as straight as possible.
Try not to pull one side on faster than the
other or damage may occur to the bushing
and the coupling. When bolts are screwed
in all the way, torque the bolts to 35 ft. lbs.
Replace the rubber guard and bolt into place
using the two 3/8” bolts that were removed.
Tighten the bolts.
Reconnect the hydraulic hoses making sure
to connect them in the right order, see
markings made when hoses were removed.
If hoses are reversed, the feed wheels will
work in reverse. Change hoses if this
happens to make feed wheels turn correctly.
