Has an error occurred during reception?
Check the LCD for an error message. (See “LCD Messages,” on p. 11-7.)
Prnt an Actvty Report and check for an error. (See “ACTIVITY REPORT,” on p. 12-
57.)
Is paper loaded in the machine?
Make sure paper s loaded n the machne. (See “Set Up the Machne,” n the
Starter Gude.)
Is the telephone cable connected properly?
Make sure the cable s connected properly. (See “Set Up the Machne,” n the
Starter Gude.)
No automatic switching between telephone and fax calls.
Is the machine set to switch automatically between telephone and fax
calls?
For the machne to swtch between fax and telephone calls automatcally, the
receve mode must be set to <FaxTel>, <AnsMode>, or <DRPD>. If you have set
<AnsMode>, confrm that an answerng machne s connected to the machne
and that t s turned on wth an outgong message properly recorded. (See “Basc
Recevng Method,” on p. 5-2.)
Are documents stored in memory, leaving little or no memory available?
Prnt, send, or delete any documents stored n memory.
