The alarm sounds or <MEMORY FULL> appears in the LCD when making copies.
Is the machine’s memory full?
Check remanng memory. (See “Checkng Remanng Memory,” on p. 12-64.)
Telephone Problems
Cannot dial.
Is the telephone cable connected properly?
Make sure the cable s connected properly. (See “Set Up the Machne,” n the
Starter Gude.)
Is the power cord plugged in securely?
Check that the power cord s securely plugged nto the machne and nto the
wall outlet. If the machne s plugged nto a power strp, make sure the power
strp s plugged n and turned on.
Is the main power switch turned on?
Turn on the man power swtch.
Is the machine set for the correct telephone line type?
Make sure the machne s set for the correct telephone lne type. (See “Set the
Machne for Sendng Faxes,” n the Starter Gude.)
Telephone disconnects while you are talking.
Is the telephone cable connected properly?
Make sure the cable s connected properly. (See “Set Up the Machne,” n the
Starter Gude.)
Is the telephone cable defective?
Use another cord.
