Troubleshoot

Part of the documents you receive are cut off.

Are the slide guides of the paper cassette set to the size of the paper?

Adjust the gudes of the paper cassette to the sze of the paper.

Have you specified the correct paper size for the paper cassette?

Specfy the correct paper sze for the paper cassette.

Is the toner low or unevenly distributed?

Redstrbute the toner nsde the toner cartrdge. If the problem perssts, replace 
the toner cartrdge. (See “Replacng the Toner Cartrdge,” on p. 10-11.)

Cannot receive using Error Correction Mode (ECM).

Does the sender’s machine support ECM?

If the sender’s machne does not support ECM, the document s receved n 
normal mode wthout error checkng.

Receiving of documents is too slow.

Is ECM (Error Correction Mode) set to <ON>?

Because ECM corrects errors durng a transmsson, any problems on the lne can 
mean that the transmsson wll take extra tme. Set <ECM RX> to <OFF>. (See 
“TX/RX SETTINGS,” on p. 12-11.)

Is the resolution of the sender’s machine set higher?

Contact to the sender and make sure the resoluton of the sender’s machne has 
been set properly.
