You cannot receive fax documents from information services.
Cause 1
Is your machine set for tone dialing?
Remedy
Press
(Tone) to set the dialing type to <TONE>.
Cause 2
Did you receive instructions from the sender, such as to set your machine to
receive?
Remedy
Press
(Start) to start receiving.
Errors occur frequently while receiving.
Cause 1
Is the telephone line in proper condition? Do you have a good telephone line
connection?
Remedy
Lower the reception speed. (See <2. RX START SPEED> of “SYSTEM
SETTINGS,” on p. 10-13.)
Cause 2
Is the sending fax machine functioning properly?
Remedy
Call the sender and have them check that their fax machine is functioning
properly.
