LCD Messages

This section explains the various messages that appear on the LCD display, along
with possible causes and remedies.

This section describes messages related to the FAX function. For explanations of
messages that are not listed here, see Chapter 8, “Troubleshooting,” in the

Reference Guide

CHANGE PAPERSIZE

Cause

When the machine is printing the reports or lists, the paper size setting is set to
a size other than <LTR>.

Remedy

Set the paper size setting to <LTR>, and load LTR paper. Printing resumes
automatically.

CHECK DOCUMENT

Cause 1

There is a paper jam in the feeder.

Remedy

Gently remove the jammed original from the feeder.
Make sure that the paper is an acceptable size and type. (See “Placing
Originals,” on p. 1-34.)

Cause 2

The feeder roller is rotating without feeding documents.

Remedy

Remove the originals from the feeder, align their edges, and then neatly place
them into the feeder again.
