Description
Since this machine indicated the error code "E747-0719/E747-051b/E747-0619/E747-621f" and failed to start upon installation, the main controller PCB
(main) was replaced with a new one for solution. In this inspection case, this machine could start after a sub board was re-connected; however, it indicated
the error code "E747" during operation and failed to output images.
- E747-0719/-051b/-0619 can be displayed when an error occurs in the main controller PCB (main).
- E747-621f can be displayed when an error occurs in communication with the main controller PCB (sub R).
Field Remedy
When the symptom above occurs, perform the following steps in sequence.
1. Turn the main power switch OFF and then ON.
2. Disconnect the main controller PCBs (sub PE/ sub R/ sub SJ) and clean their terminal with lint-free paper moistened with alcohol; then re-fit them.
3. Re-fit all the connectors of the main controller PCB (main).
4. If the symptom still occurs, replace the main controller PCB (main) with a new one.
5. After mounting the new main controller PCB (main), mount all the boards that were detached for the replacement.

Description
Since E747-221D/E747-221F/E747-381B/E747-421D/E747-C000/E747-C51D was displayed upon power-on, the image memory (SDRAM) was replaced
for a solution.
- E747-221D/E747-221F/E747-381B can be displayed when an error occurs in communication with the main controller PCB (sub PE).
- E747-421D can be displayed when an error occurs in communication with the main controller PCB (sub PDRM-EF).
- E747-C000/E747-C51D can be displayed when an error occurs in communication with the main controller PCB (sub SJ).
Cause
Since the image memory (SDRAM) was faulty, it failed to communicated with each sub boards during the initial check performed upon power-on, causing
E747-221D/E747-221F/E747-381B/E747-421D/E747-C000/E747-C51D.
Field Remedy
1. Disconnect the image memory (SDRAM) and clean its terminal with lint-free paper moistened with alcohol; then re-connect the memory.
2. If the symptom still occurs, replace the image memory (SDRAM) with a new one.

Description
Since the error code "E747-3619" occurs, the main controller PCB (main) was replaced with a new one for solution.
- E747-3691 can be displayed when a communication error occurs between the main controller PCB (sub PE) and the main controller PCB (main).
Cause
A fault in the main controller PCB (main) caused a failure in communication with the main controller PCB (sub PE), causing E747-3619.
Field Remedy
1. Detach the main controller PCB (sub PE) and clean its terminal with lint-free paper moistened with alcohol.
2. Re-fit all the connectors of the main controller PCB (main).
3. If the symptom still occurs, replace the main controller PCB (main).

Description
Since the error code "E747-0219" was displayed when making copies in the job mode set up by making the selections below, system software was upgraded
to Ver. 60.08 for solution.
[Special Features > Image Creation > Image Repeat > Area Designation (or Framing) > Copy Ratio]
- E747-0219 can be displayed when an error occurs in the Main Controller PCB (main).
Field Remedy
When the same symptom occurs, check the version of system software; if it is earlier than Ver. 60.08, upgrade the software to Ver. 60.08 or later and then
make copies.
