Chapter 15
15-50
Since the error code "E532-8002" was indicated due to a malfunction of the home position sensor lever of the stapler assembly, the spring on the sensor lever
drive assembly was replaced with FU5-2401 for solution.
Starting JVH06724, the factory is using that spring (FU5-2401). If the same symptom occurs with a machine having a serial number earlier than JVH06724,
perform the following field remedy depending on the serial number.
- E532-8002 can be displayed when the staple home position sensor lever does not return within the specified period of time.
Cause
Since too much grease was applied to the metal plate for the sensor lever, the lever lacked movement, causing the error code.
Field Remedy
1. In case the serial number of the trouble Finisher-Z1 unit is earlier than JVH06724, replace the sensor lever spring with a new one.
2. In case the serial number of the trouble Finisher-Z1 unit is JVH06724 or later, or in case Step1 does not work on the symptom, check to see the version of
the finisher controller software; if it is earlier than Ver. 05.01, upgrade the software to Ver. 05.01 or later.

Description
Because of a fault in the Finisher Controller software, E532-8001/E532-8002 was indicated.
- E532-8001 can be displayed when the stapler does not move out of the stapler slide the home position within 5 sec. after the start of the stapler slide motor.
- E532-8002 can be displayed when the stapler does not return to the stapler slide home position within 20 sec. after the stapler slide motor starts, or when
the stapler alignment interposition sensor turns on in a state in which the stapler has moved out of the home position.
Cause
Since RAM was initialized after the start of 1ms timer, the timer interrupted the initialization of RAM, consequently causing a malfunction of the 16-bit timer
for driving motor.
Field Remedy
Check the version of the Finisher Controller software; if it is earlier than Ver. 5.01, upgrade the software to Ver. 5.01 or later.
Note: When upgrading the Finisher controller software, the Downloarder PCB (FY9-2034) and a PC in which the Service Support Tool (Ver. 3.22J or later)
is installed are required.
Reference:
The Finisher Controller software Ver. 5.01 or later is installed in the machines of which serial number is JVH07136 and later.

Description
Since the error code "E532-8002" was indicated, J1027 connector of the stapler shift motor (M105) found in the Saddle Finisher-Y2 was disconnected and
then re-connected.

- E532-8002 can be displayed when the stapler doesn't return to the home position even though the stapler shift motor (M105) has been driven for 20 sec.
Cause
Since J1027 connector of the stapler shift motor (M105) had poor contact, the stapler did not return to the home position, causing E532-8002.
Field Remedy
1. Re-fit J1027 connector of the stapler shift motor (M105).
2. If the symptom still occurs, check to see if the stapler shift home position sensor (PI110) has a fault; if so, replace the sensor with a new one.
3. If no fault was found in Step 2, check to see if the path of the stapler shift base has something that hinders smooth movement of the base; if any, remove it.
4. If the symptom still occurs, replace the stapler shift motor with a new one.
5. If the symptom still occurs, replace the finisher controller PCB with a new one.

Description
Since the error code "E602-0001" was displayed, the main controller PCB was replaced with a new one for solution.
- E602-0001 can be displayed when the HDD (hard disk) cannot be recognized or a start-up partition (BOOTDEV) is not found at start-up.
Field Remedy
1. Turn the main power switch OFF, and connect the HDD cable; then, turn the main power switch ON.
2. If the symptom still occurs, check if the HDD rotates upon power-on (check to hear the rotating noise of the HDD) and if 5V and 12V are supplied.
3. If the symptom still occurs, replace the HDD with a new one, and then re-install system software.
4. If the symptom still occurs, re-fit all the connectors of the main controller PCB.
