Description
Since blank image occurred with yellow and black only, the main controller PCB (sub PDRM-EF-A) was disconnected and then re-connected for solution.
Cause
Since the main controller PCB (sub PDRM-EF-A) has poor contact (on J1051 side), the print image was not processed properly.
Field Remedy
1. Re-fit 2 main controller PCBs (sub PDRM-EF-A).
2. If the symptom still occurs, interchange the upper and lower main controller PCBs (sub PDRM-EF-A).
3. If the combination of colors that causes the symptom changed from yellow and black to cyan and magenta, suspect a faulty main controller PCB (sub
PDRM-EF-A) and replace the PCB new being in downside with a new one.
4. If the symptom does not change after Step2, replace the main controller PCB (main) with a new one.

Description
Since the image density became low in the front or rear side with regard to black alone, the laser scanner unit was replaced with a new one for solution. In
this inspection case, the density was normal with regard to the images printed with the other monochrome colors.
Field Remedy
1. Re-fit J104 and J105 connectors of the DC controller PCB.
2. Re-fit J15 and J21 connectors of the laser scanner assembly.
3. If the symptom still occurs, replace the laser scanner assembly with a new one.
4. Enter the values printed on the label accompanying the new laser scanner unit into the following service modes. After entering, affix the label to the front
cover.
- Service mode > COPIER > Function > LASER > FSLUT-Y1 through FLSUT-Y8
- Service mode > COPIER > Function > LASER > FSLUT-M1 through FLSUT-M8

Description
Since copy/print images were light, an adjustment was made to the electrode plate of the secondary transfer roller inside the ITB for solution.
Cause
Since the electrode plate of the secondary transfer roller inside the ITB was deformed, it lost a contact with the roller. This prevented the sufficient amount
of toner from being transferred to paper, causing light image.
Field Remedy
1. Referring to the FAQ information titled "E020: Void in main scanning direction/light image throughout page: One side of ITB cover is not closed firmly",
check to see if one side of the ITB cover loses a close fit to the chassis.
2. If no problem was found in Step 1, check if the electrode plate of the secondary transfer roller of the ITB is deformed; if so, make an adjustment to the
plate with longnose pliers.
