Installation
Initial installation of the instrument is performed by Bruker Service or personnel authorized by
Bruker.
Installation, initial commissioning, retrofitting, repairs, adjustments or dismantling of the
device must only be carried out by Bruker Service or personnel authorized by Bruker.
Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Bruker is not covered by your warranty.
5.1
Siting Considerations
The unit must be placed on a strong, level, non-magnetic benchtop surface, capable of
supporting the weight (refer to
). A minimum distance of 10
cm should be allowed between the back of the Analyzer Unit and adjacent objects in order to
ensure sufficient air-cooling.
Since magnetic objects containing for example iron can influence the magnetic field inside
the Analyzer Unit, do not locate the system within 1 m of large magnetic objects or within 2 m
of moving metallic objects.
CAUTION
Accident or material damage hazard from falling or tilting instrument
Instrument may fall down or tilt during installation, retrofitting, dismantling, or while moving
on a cart.
u
Use the carrying handles during lifting.
u
When a table or cart is used, it should meet the requirements in the site planning guide.
u
The instrument should be secured to the cart or table.
5.1.1
Environmental Considerations
The minispec is a high sensitivity, high stability instrument for quantitative NMR analysis.
Although it is designed to be robust and relatively immune to external influences, it should
ideally be operated in a laboratory type environment.
• Ideal Operating Temperature: 22-25°C
• Minimum Operating Temperature: 18°C
• Maximum Operating Temperature: 28°C
• Humidity (non-condensing): 20-80 %
Please note that the environmental temperature is important to be kept constant especially in
case of high precision absolute measurements as spin finish determination or seeds analysis.
Also in case of the LF90 a constant environmental temperature is very useful.
