4 Design and Function
The minispec LF-series is a benchtop system for time-domain nuclear magnetic resonance
(TD-NMR) measurements primarily assigned for quality control. The system consists of a
magnet and an electronic unit, a PC workstation, the user software and optionally a pulsed
gradient unit, automation, a printer, a balance or a bar-code reader. The delivery scope
contains a data medium (USB stick) including the technical documentation, that informs
provides information about the system requirements, the setup procedure, as well as the user
software including all default settings and the user documentation.
4.1 Brief Description
All systems of the minispec LF product range have an integrated basic probe module, where
the respective sample is positioned using a so-called sample restrainer. The minispec LF90II
and the LF110 system have a probe-in-probe technique. This technique enables the usage of
special probes which are put in the basic probe module.
4.2 Unit Description
The minispec LF-series is available in several models:
• minispec LF50 measurement system for samples up to 60-70 grams.
• minispec LF50H (horizontal) measurement system for samples up to 60-70 grams.
• minispec LF90II measurement system for samples up to ~800 grams.
• minispec LF110 measurement system for samples > 1 kg.
