The "1:MO 2:CO 3:CHG " appears on the LCD. This menu is for checking scanning clocks at 
the factory. Skip this menu and call up the CIS travel check menu by performing steps (2) 
through (4). 

(2)  Enter 1 by using the   and 

Set

 keys.* 

 

The "LED PWM:  " appears. 

(3) Press the 

Set

 key. 

 

The "G PULSE:  " appears. 

(4) Press the 

Set

 key. 

 

The "1:WHT 2:FRT 3:MV" appears on the LCD. 

 NOTE: 

Entering 1 may call up the debug screen to be used at the factory. Display the "1:WHT 

2:FRT 3:MV."

 Press

 key to move the CIS unit to the scanning end position. 

 

Entering 1 or 2 moves the CIS unit to the white-level reference film position or the scanning 
start position, respectively. 

(6)  To stop the CIS unit, press the 

Stop/Exit

The machine returns to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.

When exchanging the scanner cover 

MFC620CN*/425CN/420CN*/215C/210C* (USA/CANADA models only) and FAX2240C*, 

DCP315CN/120C/117C/115C/110C* 

When replacing the scanner cover, please refer to the Reassembling Notes of 

Section 5.1.4 

Scanner 

Cover (Scanner Unit) for the operating. Please also confirm the type (RHOM or CCI) of the CIS. 
When replacing the CIS, which is different from the previous one, please follow the operating 
below to set up the CIS.  
(1) Press the

 and 

9

 keys in this order in the initial stage of the maintenance mode. 

 

The "1:MO 2:CO 3:CHG" appears on the LCD.  

(2) Press the

 key. 

 

The "O : C  1 : RS  2 : Q" appears on the LCD. 

(3)  Press the "

0

" key, if the type of CIS is CCI when exchanging the scanner 

 

Press the "

1

" key, if the type of CIS is ROHM when exchanging the scanner 

(4)  The machine returns to the initial stage of the maintenance mode. 
 

*Require only for the models with a character “Z”  

on the Rating Label affix to the back of the machine.
