The pressure foot pressure can be adjusted to between
10 - 40 N.
Furthermore, the presser foot pressure can be checked
visually using the presser foot pressure display scale.

The top of the feed dog should be below the top of the needle
plate and the presser foot should be lowered when adjusting
the presser foot pressure.
1.
Determine the presser foot pressure. (The following proce-
dure describes how to adjust the pressure to 30 N.)
2.
Turn the presser foot pressure adjustment screw

until
the line below "3" on the scale is aligned with the top of the
presser foot adjustment screw

3.
Loosen the nut

, and then turn the presser foot adjust-
ment screw

until the line below "3" on the presser foot
pressure display scale

is aligned with the top of the
presser foot pressure adjustment screw

is too high (

This indicates that the presser foot pressure is greater
than 30 N. Loosen the presser foot adjustment
screw

This indicates that the presser foot pressure is smaller
than 30 N. Tighten the presser foot adjustment
screw

4.
After the above adjustments have ben completed, securely
tighten the nut
