Mains connection for card rack fields
Card rack fields have been designed for 3
230 V alternating voltage.
The card rack fields are intended for operation in industrial environments (emission class A), i. e.:
•
no direct connection to the public low-voltage power supply,
•
connection to medium- or high-voltage mains via a transformer.
•
Observe the connected load listed in table
when selecting the transformer.
Mains connection for system boxes
The supply cables for the system boxes must be equipped with a protective conductor (PE) in each case.
The system boxes are intended for operation in industrial environments (emission class A), i. e.:
•
no direct connection to the public low-voltage power supply.
Operation in asymmetric mains (one mains phase is grounded) is not permissible!
The connection, incl. PE must be designed as a 3-phase connection (4 x 2.5 mm
2
). To avoid short circuits
and ground leakage, a 3-phase 16 A fuse must be provided.
In addition, a PE wire with a minimum cross-section of 10 mm2 Cu must be connected at the X1N3.1/
X1N3.2 interface underneath the system box (see Fig.

The voltage selection terminals in the SB356 allow for operating the system box in a voltage range of
380V to 500V. The system box is set to 400 V at the time of delivery.
