SENT CONFIG
Protocol Config
To set the baud rate use the touchscreen to select Protocol Config :
1. The SENT CONFIG menu will be displayed. (Figure 10.51 )
2. Use the touchscreen to select Message Format . The following formats are available:
– Fast Nibble
– Fast Signals
– Short Serial
– Enhanced Serial
3. Use the touchscreen to select CLK .
– Use the Universal Rotary Knob or the virtual keypad to set a nominal clock period.
4. Use the touchscreen to select Tolerance .
– Use the Universal Rotary Knob or the virtual keypad to set the percent tolerance
to determine whether the sync pulse is valid for decoding the data.
5. Use the touchscreen to set the Idle Level to Low or High .
6. Use the touchscreen to select # of Nibbles .
– Use the Universal Rotary Knob or the virtual keypad to set the number of
nibbles.
7. Use the touchscreen to enable or disable New CRC .
– CRC format will be used in calculating the correctness of the CRCs. The New CRC
selection uses the 2010 CRC format. If “NEW” is not selected, the CRC will use
the 2008 format. Enhanced Serial Message CRCs are always calculated using the
2010 format, but for the Fast Channel Messages, and for Short Serial Message
CRCs, the chosen setting is used.
8. Use the touchscreen to enable or disable New CRC .
– Specifies whether there is a pause pulse between the messages.
9. Touch option to return previous menu.
