4 DD700 firmware upgrade
First of all, set the indicator in upgrade mode (boot loader); press the sealed calibration key and select the
language. After the firmware identification, follow the path
upgrade
serial line
software upgrade via serial line
CAUTION: the program will be deleted
Have upgrade ready
CONTINUE?
Pressing YES, indicator restart in boot mode.
New firmware can be loaded in these ways
1) Serial
2) USB device
3) USB Memory stick
1) Serial
DD700 indicator can be upgraded through a serial connection, as in previous dialogic indicators. CB
loader and kermit protocol are supported; the first one needs the usage of a specific loader program on
PC, while the other one is supported by standard PC program, like HyperTerminal or Tera-term
2) USB device
You 'can proceed as indicated in the preceding paragraph also using the USB device port (USB
connector type B).
Connect the terminal to the PC via USB cable (type A-type B).
Caution
: in the case of the first connection èpotrebbe be prompted to install of the appropriate driver.
See notes in the README file in the folder "09880079" (program provided by companies Coopbilanciai
optional).
Run the load indicating serial port identified as DD7xx USB to UART.
DD700 on startup select USB, then USB device.
3) USB Memory stick
On a memory stick, create the folders BILANCIA.I / FIRMWARE and copy upgrade file/s under the last
one.
Insert memory stick in the USB connector in the rear of the DD700
On DD700 boot loader start, select USB/USB disk; on display will appear a list of the available
firmwares, followed by a number. Press the number key to start upgrade.
