FRONT FORK

CHAS

FRONT FORK SHANKS REMOVAL

The following procedure is applied to both shanks of

the front fork.

Park the bike levelled.

Loosen:

• the stop screws of the steering plate

upper

• the stop screws of the steering plate

lower

RRemove:

• the front brake calliper

See paragraph "4.51".

• the front wheel

See paragraph "4.1".

• the front mudguard

See paragraph "4.124".

Remove:

• the shanks of the front fork

NOTE:

Place the bike on a trestle of adequate support so

that the front wheel is lifted.

ATTENTION

Before loosening the stop screws of the upper and

lower brackets, install a support for the shank of

the front fork.
