Enable Automatic Buffering
Initially No appears on the screen. Press
the SPACE BAR to toggle to Yes.
Select Yes for automatic buffering. Select
No to disable it.
Compress closed buffer files?
Initially No appears on the screen. Press
the SPACE BAR to toggle to Yes. Select
Yes to compress buffer files
automatically when they are closed.
The compression ratio is typically 4:1, but
the ratio may vary because it is
dependent on the data.
Auto Switch (enter 0 to disable)
When CURRENT File exceeds ‘n’ KB
Enter the file size (in KB) at which the
buffer should be switched. Note that the
CURRENT.x
file is renamed using the
convention described in this section.
Enter 0 to disable this feature.
Every n hours
Enter the number of hours between the
switching of buffers.
Synchronize at what hour (0-23)
Indicate the hour at which the buffer
should be switched. If the value is set to
2 and the previous value is set to 8, the
buffer will switch at 200, 1000, and 1200
hours.
NOTE:
If both the Current File exceeds ‘n’ KB and the Every n hours parameters are set, the
buffer is switched when the first condition is met
