Maintenance
Stop the voltage feed, before starting with maintenance or repair.
Maintenance and repair work may only be done at system's standstill and pressureless
condition.
Check the surface temperature of the central lubrication system, due to danger of burning by
radiant heat. Always wear heat-resistance gloves! Soiled or contaminated surfaces have to
be cleaned before maintenance works, wear predective cloths if necessary. Predect the
system from activation during maintenance and repair work!
·
Tighten all fittings 6 weeks after start-up
·
Check the level regular and refill clean lubricant if necessary
·
Lubricant exchange depends on aging and pollution but should be made at least according to the
machine manufacturer regulations
·
Clean the reservoir thoroughly after each lubricant change
·
Take care that the lubricant quality of different lubricant suppliers, corresponds to the prefilled lubricant!
·
Check all components for leakages or damages at every four weeks
8.1
Preventive repair (wear parts)
Check the system for the following items after it is put into operation again:
·
Function of the system
·
Check the pipe lines (lubrication points, detached hoses, leakages)
In the following years of operation, the condition of the hoses should be regularely checked (intervals see table).
Due to the fact that the pump element is subject to wear, the function has to be checked at least every two years.
The pump function and especially the proximity switch function has to be checked after each filling.
