F. Select function key F5 (ISE unit start) Highlight: A. Cal for Serum, B. Cal for Urine, or
C. Cal for Serum and Urine. When the prompt “Start Operation” appears, select “Yes.”
It takes approximately 4 minutes to calibrate for serum and urine.
Caution
After analysis is started, keep your hands away from moving parts.
G. When the calibration is complete, the results are displayed in a list. Verify the slope and
mid-factor values are in range. If the values are out-of-range, (highlighted in yellow)
perform calibration again. If the slope value or mid factor is still out of the normal
range, the electrode may be deteriorating.
Slope
38 to 68 (Na and K are positive. Cl is negative)
Mid Factor
Na = 0.80 to 1.20
K = 0.75 to 1.25
Cl = 0.75 to 1.25
H. After checking results, press function key F2 (exit).
The main screen returns.
