Inserts and inside of the Temperature Block
• Due to the high operating temperatures of the Temperature Block,
the inserts should be removed after each use and buffed with
a Scotch-Brite
®
pad or emery cloth. Make sure there are no
remaining textile fibers on the insert or the Temperature Block
surface.
• If there is an oxidation on the insert's outer surface it could cause
the inserts to become jammed in the Temperature Block boring.
Avoid this buildup by periodically buffing the inserts clean with an
abrasive pad or fine sandpaper (over 400 grit).
• In case of oil contamination, Temperature Block boring and insert
borings can be cleaned with mild alcohol-based solvent.
