DE output format
When digital (DE) output is used, the output signal mode and information quantity
mode, etc. should be set. Here, these will be explained focusing on their operations.
Using the digital (DE) output as the output format of the SLX allows bi-directional
communication between the SLX and the host system. At this time, three types of
setting are available (necessary) according to operations carried out by means of
communication.
Output signal mode setting
Select the type of data to be output from three of the following:
• Single range
• Dual range
•
Single range & secondary variable (Single range W/SV) (this mode cannot be set)
Information quantity setting
Select the number of bytes of data to be output from among the following two:
• DE-6 bytes (DE-6 BYTE)
• DE-4 bytes (DE-4 BYTE) (this mode cannot be set)
Fail-safe mode setting
Select the type of fail-safe.
CAUTION
Since the fail-safe mode is set by the host system, this selection has no effect.
