Basic operation of key input
To input or stop input of alphabetic characters, proceed as follow.
Step Procedure Button
1 Press [ALPHA].
- A blinking cursor appears in the data display window.
ALPHA
2 Press the key of an letter you want to enter.
- The letter entered appears.
- Letters are marked on the top right corner of each key.
3 To exit, press [ALPHA] again.

To input a numeral or symbol or use a different function, use the following procedure.

1 While a cursor is blinking in the data display window, press
[ALPHA].
- “_” cursor appears.

2 Press the desired key.
To use a function displayed just above the key, use the following procedure.
Step Procedure Button
1 Press [SHIFT].
“SHIFT-” appears in the data display window.

2 Press the desired key.
