Install The Swinging Beater Assembly
Tighten the clutch on the cloth storage beam
The Cloth Storage Bearing on the left side of the loom is attached to the
beater. When the beater is brought forward, the cloth storage bearing
advances the cloth storage beam taking up the slack in the cloth between
the cloth beam and the cloth storage beam. Over time, the clutch in the
bearing will wear out. The bearing is designed with a bolt that will allow you
to re-tighten the clutch, so that the cloth storage beam will continue to work
as designed.
1)
Remove the retainer pin holding the cloth storage beam in place.
2)
Remove the cloth storage beam from the loom.
3)
Tighten the bolt on the cloth storage beam bearing on the left side
of the loom. Tighten by twisting the bolt towards the inside of the
loom until it is hand tight.

Your loom comes equipped with a Bottom Swing Beater.
1)
The beater is shipped assembled. Remove the packing material and
lift it out of the box.
2)
There are supports for the beater hidden in the back of the front
cross-member. Position the beater feet on top of these supports.
