Loom Maintenance
Cloth Advance Gears
There is a worm gear on the cloth advance that should be coated with a light
coat of clear synthetic grease after every 160 hours of weaving.
1)
Remove the sandpaper beam cover and the sandpaper beam from
the loom.
2)
Put some light globs of grease on the grooves on the front of the
gear.
Note:
As you use the loom, the grease will be distributed over the gear.
3)
Replace the sandpaper beam and the sandpaper beam cover.
Tension Motor
The tension motor uses a screw to move up and down; changing the tension
on your loom. This screw should receive a light coat of clear synthetic grease
every six months.
