7. Programming System Data

Operators

The Operators settings allow you to add the details for up to 99 operators to the system. To add
a new operator:

1.

From Manager Mode Press

System Setup > Operators > Operator Details

2.

Press

New.

3.

Enter the details for each of the following fields:

Operator ID

A number in the range of 1 to 99.

Operator Name

The operator name is printed on the receipt.
You can enter up to 33 characters for the operator name.

Media ID

Media ID for operators photograph.

Operator PIN

It is important that you change the PIN from the default setting. If you do not,
then the user can not log on.
The PIN can have 0 to 4 numeric characters. If the PIN has no characters, then
the operator is not prompted for a PIN when logging on.

Operator Role

You can create or modify operator roles in the MXBusiness application.
Default roles are Standard Operator and Manager.

Operator Status

This can be set to either Enabled or Disabled. The default is Enabled.

Operator Transaction Mode

Select whether the operator is actively serving customers (trading) or just
learning (training). When set for training the receipts and labels are printed as
normal, but the transactions are not totalised.
