IP Office Manager Configuration
There are several configuration changes recommended for Phone Manager users.
Turn on Call Waiting.
Turn on Busy on Held.
(Optional) Turn Off Hook Operation on.
The recommended setting is On for Avaya digital phone users.
(Optional) Enable the Phone Manager user to book conferences using the Conference Center
Scheduler.
(Optional) Set PIN restrictions. Pin restrictions are applied to external dialed numbers.
(Optional) Apply Account Codes.
When Call Waiting is on there is an audible tone when you are on a call and another call arrives. Phone
Manager allows the user to see the details of both calls and to switch between calls. This option is
ignored for users logged on to phones with multiple call appearances.
To turn on Call Waiting:
1. Click and click the user's extension number in the Navigation pane. The options are displayed
in the Group Pane area.
2. Select the Telephony tab.
3. Check Call Waiting On.
4. Click OK.
5. Repeat for any other users.
6. Click
and send the configuration back to the IP Office.
When a call is placed on hold, it might be inconvenient to receive any further calls. It is recommended
that Busy on Held is switched on. A busy tone is heard by further callers until the held caller is cleared.
This option is ignored for users logged on to phones with multiple call appearances.
To turn on Busy On Held:
1. Click and click the user's extension number in the Navigation pane. The options are shown in
the Group Pane area.
2. Select the Telephony tab.
3. Check Busy On Held.
4. Click OK.
5. Repeat for any other users.
6. Click
and send the configuration back to the IP Office.
