Message Parameter Pane
Item
Description
Header
Ashtech or Other. If Ashtech is selected in the first field, there is PASHR in
the second field. If Other is selected, the second field can be PASHR,
blank, or any word.
Title
Alphabetical characters. A maximum of 3 characters.
Type
ASCII, Binary
Description
Place for comments
Message variables
Contains variables of the selected message.
Up button
Moves the variable up in the list.
Down button
Moves the variable down in the list.
Remove button
Deletes the variable from the list.
Optional check box
If you mark the check box, the variable is included in square brackets and
can be missed.
Convert to:
Select the variable type you want the message variable converted to. The
list of types varies variable selected.
Format
The format of the message variable. The type varies with the variable
selected.
Max Digits Before Decimal You can enter the maximum number of digits before decimal point.
Max Digits After Decimal
You can enter the maximum number of digits after decimal point.
Mandatory Sign
Requires to necessarily output the sign '+' or '-'. For e12.1234
with "Mandatory Sign" and 12.1234 without.
Multiplier
You can enter a number to multiply the value. The response message
displays the value multiplied by the Multiplier. This function is useful for
converting measurement units. For example, if you would like the output
message to display in meters, but the response is in feet, use a multiplier
value of 0.3048 to convert the output value to meters.
Available Variables
Contains variables of the appropriated GPS receiver divided into several
groups.
Tree
If you mark the radio button, you will see the variables in tree-view
structure.
List
if you mark the radio button, you will see the variables in alphabetical
order.
Insert to Parameter List
button
Inserts the selected parameter in the Message Variables list.
Type
Displays the type of the variable. It can be Integer, Real, Text String, etc.
