DG14 and DG16 Board & Sensor Reference Manual
The Differential Status LED is a two-color LED which provides information on the
availability of differential corrections to the receiver. The LED shows the number
of corrections received for each type: SBAS, Beacon, or Serial. The LED blinks
with the following repetitive sequence;
• One red flash followed by the number of SBAS input corrections green
flashes.
• Two red flashes followed by the number of Beacon input corrections green
flashes.
• Three red flashes followed by the number of Serial input corrections green
flashes.
Power Requirements and Connections
The power requirements and connections differ between the board and the
Sensor model.
Table 1.4 outlines the power requirements for the DG16 board and sensor.
Power Consumption in Sleep Mode
The DG16 has a sleep mode which operates similar to most laptop computers.
While in sleep mode, the board consumes significantly less power. Power
consumption in sleep mode does not exceed 7% for both 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC.
The sleep mode is particularly beneficial for operations which use batteries or
solar panels for power levels. Use the
$PASHS,PWR
command to set the DG16
to sleep mode. The DG16 will reactivate with serial activity or at designated dates
and times via session programming. See “SES,SET: Individual Session
Programing” on page 155 for more information.
