1.2.1 Shelf
The 3U shelf of 19" ANSI racks is made up of stainless steel.There are integrated chassis
mounting flanges at each side of the shelf designed for front-mounting the shelf into the rack.
You can install the system in a standard 19'' ANSI rack using the integrated chassis mounting
flange.
1.2.2 Backplane
The backplane is fully compliant with the PICMG 3.0 R3.0 Specification and it has been designed
with the following features:
Zone 1:

Redundant, bussed Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) networks to all
blade slots

Redundant, bussed -48 VDC to all blade slots
Zone 2:

Dual star configuration for the base interface

Direct cross-connect routing for fabric connectivity

Fabric Channel 2 of AdvancedTCA Slot 1 is routed to User Card 1

Fabric Channel 1 of AdvancedTCA Slot 2 is routed to User Card 2

Update channel routing between both slots

Three redundant telecom bussed clock signals to all hub/node slots
Zone 3:

PICMG 3.0 defined open area, application specific

: Fabric interface configurations support 1G, 10G and 40G operation
1.2.2.1 Node slots
The backplane in Centellis 2100 Shelf Release 3.0 shelf provides two node slots, oriented
horizontally in the lower and upper part of the shelf. They are accessible from the front of the
shelf.
