4.8.3 Storing the Filters
It may be best to keep extra filters on hand so that you can exchange them without delay when
necessary. The ideal storage condition is a cool and dry environment. High temperature and
humidity adversely affect the filters. Foam degrades when exposed to solvents and sulfates,
such as engine exhaust.
Controlling the relative humidity between 40%-80% and the temperature between 4.4

Artesyn does not recommend storing foam filters for many months or years at a time. Purchase
enough to keep adequate inventory for no more than a few months.
