SIGNATURE
REQUIRED
If a signature is required, have the customer sign the
merchant copy signature record and compare it to the
signature on the reverse of the customer’s card.
NOTE: For Visa & MasterCard CPC transactions, an additional
checkbox will be printed on the receipt. The customer is
required to tick this checkbox signifying acceptance of the
conversion of the transaction amount into the currency of
the card origin. Please refer to an example of CPC receipt on
section 24 Filing and Retention of Transaction Records and
Vouchers for
your information.
SIGNATURE
VERIFIED?
For a Magnetic Stripe transaction, this screen will be
displayed. If the signatures match, select YES on your
Point of Sale System. If they do not, select NO to
decline the transaction.
REMOVE CARD
SIGNATURE
VERIFIED?
For a Chip Card transaction, this screen will be
prompted to and please remove the card from the
terminal. If the signatures match, select YES on your
Point of Sale system. If they don’t match, select NO to
decline the transaction.
TRANSACTION
APPROVED
If the transaction is approved, the Point of Sale system
will print a customer copy.
If the transaction is rejected, the terminal will display
an error message outlining the reason (please refer to
section 17). Notify the customer, advise them to
contact their Card Issuer and seek an alternative form
of payment.
