Configuring NTP
Use the System > Time (Configure General - NTP) page to configure NTP authentication and show the polling interval at which the
switch will query the specified time servers.
The following table displays the options on this page:
Perform these steps to set the clock maintenance type to NTP:

from the Step list.

NTP
from the Maintain Type list.
4.
Enable authentication if required.
5.
Click
Apply

Configuring Time Servers
Use the System > Time (Configure Time Server) pages to specify the IP address for NTP/SNTP time servers, or to set the
authentication key for NTP time servers.
Specifying SNTP Time Servers
Use the System > Time (Configure Time Server - Configure SNTP Server) page to specify the IP address for up to three SNTP time
servers.
The following table displays the options on this page:
System - Time Options
Current Time
Shows the current time set on the switch.
Authentication Status
Enables authentication for time requests and updates between the switch and NTP servers.
(Default: Disabled)
You can enable NTP authentication to ensure that reliable updates are received from only
authorized NTP servers. The authentication keys and their associated key number must be
centrally managed and manually distributed to NTP servers and clients. The key numbers and key
values must match on both the server and client.
Polling Interval
Shows the interval between sending requests for a time update from NTP servers. (Fixed: 1024
seconds)

System - Time Options
SNTP Server IP Address
Sets the IPv4 or IPv6 address for up to three time servers. The switch attempts to update the time
from the first server, if this fails it attempts an update from the next server in the sequence.
