Specifying NTP Authentication Keys
Use the System > Time (Configure Time Server - Add NTP Authentication Key) page to add an entry to the authentication key list.
The following table displays the options on this page:
Perform these steps to add an entry to NTP authentication key list:
1.

Time
.
2.
Select
Configure Time Server
from the Step list.
3.
Select
Add NTP Authentication Key
from the Action list.
4.
Enter the index number and MD5 authentication key string.
5.
Click
Apply
.
Perform these steps to show the list of configured NTP authentication keys:
1.
Click
System
>
Time
.
2.
Select
Configure Time Server
from the Step list.
3.
Select
Show NTP Authentication Key
from the Action list.
System - Time Options
Authentication Key
Specifies the number of the key in the NTP Authentication Key List to use for authentication with a
configured server. NTP authentication is optional. When enabled on the System > Time (Configure
General) page, you must also configure at least one key on this page. Up to 255 keys can be
configured on the switch. (Range: 1-65535)
Key Context
An MD5 authentication key string. The key string can be up to 32 case-sensitive printable ASCII
characters (no spaces).
NTP authentication key numbers and values must match on both the server and client.
