Adjusting the Bed Height
The bed height is adjustable from 20 to 34 in ±2 in (51 to 86 cm ±5 cm), measured from the top
of the seat cushion to the floor. Before the Mobile Patient Bed is connected to the
CATALYS®
System, you must use the control pendant to adjust the bed height. After the Mobile Patient Bed
is connected to the
CATALYS®
System, the control pendant’s motion controls are disabled, and
you must use the joystick to adjust the bed height when prompted by the
CATALYS®
System.
To adjust the bed height using the control pendant:
1. Press the column button; the button illuminates.
2. Press and hold the up/down button to adjust the bed height.
3. Release the up/down button when the bed is at the desired height.
To adjust the bed height using the joystick, rotate the joystick clockwise to raise the bed and
counterclockwise to lower the bed.
WARNINGS
To avoid a crushing hazard, use extreme caution when raising the Mobile Patient Bed while it is
positioned under the
CATALYS®
System.
If a patient is to be left unattended, ensure that the armrests are raised and the bed is in the
lowest position to minimize the risk from falls.
