coulter
Use your seed drill with WS coulters (Fig. 53) for
conventional drilling.
A guide funnel (Fig. 53/1) delivers the seed im-
mediately behind the share tip (Fig. 53/2). A pre-
cise and uniform placement depth is achieved.
The hinged coulter support (Fig. 53/3) prevents
the coulter outlet clogging when the seed drill is
set down.

Band seeding shoe
The WS coulters can be equipped with band
seeding shoes. Band sowing improves the com-
petition conditions for the growing wheat plants.
The precondition is a well-tilled seed bed.
Band sowing shoeII is particularly well-suited to
light to medium soils.
The inclined sole compresses the planting area
and reduces the placement depth.

The band seeding shoe (Fig. 55/1) is fastened to
the WS coulter with a pin (Fig. 55/2) and secured
with a linch pin (Fig. 55/3).
