5.7.6 Seed
pre-metering
Seed pre-metering, which meters the seeds in the air current before the implement starts up, can be
switched on in the ISOBUS control terminal.
Seed pre-metering is used when corners are to be seeded that can only be reached when the imple-
ment is being reversed or with raised coulters.
The run time of the seed pre-metering is adjustable.
5.7.7 Start-up
ramp
After turning at the end of the field, seed is metered into the delivery line as soon as the implement is
lowered into working position.
As a general rule, the speed of the metering roller is automatically adjusted for changes in the working
speed. When the implement accelerates, the metered seed is only deposited in the soil when the
speed of the implement is much higher than that of the metering unit. The "start-up ramp", which can
be activated on the ISOBUS control terminal, prevents insufficient metering of the seed during the
acceleration phase.
To be able to compensate for the system-related insufficient seed quantity using the "start-up ramp"
during the acceleration phase of the implement, the factory-set values can be adjusted. Adjustments
can be made to the values for the intended working speed, the starting speed [%], and the time until
the intended working speed is reached.
The time until the intended working speed is reached and the percent value depend on the accelera-
tion of each tractor.
