The AD-P 30/35/4001 SPECIAL pneumatic pack top seed drill allows precise seed placement, uniform
placement depth and coverage of the seed, and a track-free, well-structured field after cultivation.
The seed is carried in the hopper (Fig. 24/1).
The metered seed volume passes from the seed metering unit (Fig. 24/2) into the air stream generat-
ed by the blower fan, which is driven by an electric motor. The speed of the metering roller automati-
cally adjusts to changing working speeds. The pulses from the radar serve to measure the working
speed and the distance covered. A control terminal is required.
The air stream delivers the seed to the distributor head (Fig. 24/3), which distributes the seed uniform-
ly onto all the coulters. Seed drills with WS coulters are used after the plough. Mulch seeding is possi-
ble with the AMAZONE rotary cultivator if the AD-P is equipped with RoTeC Control coulters (Fig.
24/4).
The seed is embedded in the soil, which is reconsolidated in strips by the trapeze ring roller (Fig.
24/5). The trapeze ring roller is used on soils with very heavy clods that could not be completely elimi-
nated by the soil tillage implement (Fig. 24/6). The tooth packer roller can be used on very light soils.
The seed is covered with loose soil by the roller harrow (Fig. 24/7). The exact following harrow can be
used as an option.
The track markers (Fig. 24/8) mark the field connection run in the centre of the tractor.
The universal coupling triangle enables quick mounting of the seed drill onto a soil tillage implement,
even on rotary harrows from other manufacturers. In combination with other manufacturers, a pulse
wheel determines the working speed and the distance covered instead of the radar.
