Running Fiber Autotest 92
Running a single ended fiber autotest
Connect the WireScope 350 and attached Fiber SmartProbe
+
to one end of the
fiber pair to be tested. Using a fiber patch cable, connect the two fibers at the far
end of the fiber pair in a loopback configuration. After pressing
Start Test
on
the Fiber Autotest Setup screen, the screen shown below will appear.
The Fiber Autotest screen shows the current state of the fibers connected to the
Fiber SmartProbe
+
. The WireScope 350 constantly monitors these connections
waiting for a valid Single Ended configuration. Once this valid configuration is
detected, the cable connections are drawn and the
Start Test
button is enabled.
Press
Start Test
or
to begin the Fiber Autotest. The test will run to
completion and the Fiber Autotest Result screen will be displayed.
