Chapter 5
Running an Autotest 58
Diagnostics
The Diagnostics section of the DualRemote 350 front panel provides more
detailed information about failing test results.
WS and DR LEDs indicate at which end of the tested cable the measurement
failed.
A column of diagnostic LEDs provide further detail about the cause(s) of a test
failure. The failure causes that can be indicated are:
·
Wiremap
·
Split pairs
·
Length / Delay / Skew (any of these conditions)
·
NEXT (pair-to-pair or power sum)
·
Attenuation
·
ELFEXT (pair-to-pair or power sum)
·
Return Loss
·
Other (any other failing measurement)
In the event that the cabling run has multiple test failure causes (i.e. NEXT and
Return Loss), you can use the
key to scroll between failure cause indications.
The current selection is indicated by a blinking LED. The pair indicators and
WS/DR indicators will blink to show which pairs and which cable end
correspond to the selected failure cause.
Power LED
The power LED indicates on / off status for the DualRemote 350. When this
LED is lit, the DualRemote 350 is powered on.
