Chapter 5
Running an Autotest 56
Viewing result details on the DualRemote 350
The DualRemote 350 performs at the far end of the cabling run all of the same
test functions as the WireScope 350. The WireScope 350 controls the
DualRemote 350 during all test functions by communicating with it over the
cabling run under test.
Considerable information is available to the DualRemote 350 operator via the
DualRemote 350 front panel indicators.
Pair status indicators
The pair status indicators are bi-color LEDs that light green or red at the end of
any test to signal the status of each pair. Any pair involved in a failure condition
will light in red.
Warning indicators
The warning indicators alert the DualRemote 350 operator to conditions that
might prevent or impair testing.
Hub / NIC detected
The hub / NIC detected LED indicates that the DualRemote 350 is plugged into
a hub / Switch port or a NIC port instead of into a port which is connected to the
WireScope 350. [This function is not yet supported in software. A future
software upgrade will add this capability.]
