WireScope 350 System Settings 130
Speaker and Touch Click
These settings enable sound to give you audible feedback as you perform
operations with the touch screen..
Enable Sleep Timeout
When this setting is enabled, the WireScope 350 will go to sleep if there has
been no activity for the specified interval. When the WireScope 350 is asleep,
power consumption is greatly reduced, prolonging battery life. A touch
anywhere on the screen or pressing any of the keys will wake the WireScope
350 and return to the screen it was in when it went to sleep.
Backlight Brightness
You can adjust the screen backlight brightness for improved visibility. A
brighter screen setting consumes more battery power. For this reason, Agilent
Technologies recommends that you set the backlight brightness to the lowest
setting that provides adequate screen readability in the environment where you
will be working.
Operators
Usually, a two-person team operates the WireScope 350. You can store the
names of both the main unit operator and the remote unit operator in each test
record.
You can also store information about which end of the cable run each unit tested
(for example: main unit in telecom room and remote unit at user location).
Select the
Operators
icon and press
or the

button to enter or change
operator information.
Enter the name of each operator and the location where he or she is testing. This
information is captured automatically and stored in each saved autotest file.
Press
or
OK
to return to the System Settings screen.
