The activity tree is organized by PVC. Each PVC can be expanded to show activity for both receive and
transmit directions. Each direction can be expanded to show the activity for each application. The through-
put for each application is shown on the right. The sums of the individual applications are shown for each
direction and the sum of both directions is shown at the PVC level.

The current activity tree is polled every 10 seconds. The colors are based on the activity over the most
recent 10 second interval.
The icons used in the current activity screen show whether traffic shaping is enabled or disabled. When
traffic shaping is enabled, variable length dark blue vertical lines will be superimposed on the standard
icon consisting of six light blue vertical lines. For instance, in Figure 9, the icons for PVC 16 FTP TX,
PVC 16 HTTP TX, and PVC 16 HTTP RX indicate that traffic shaping is enabled. The recent activity tree
is similar, but represents activity over a longer interval. The length of the interval depends on the device
